Three barrels, one new. The Savigny Vergelesses has a lighter colour, not atypical of this location. A touch of graphite from the new Chassin barrel. This is on the lighter side, but perseveres well on the palate with a little strawberry and spice to finish. In bottle. Drink from 2028-2031. Tasted Oct 2025.

89 points Jasper Morris MW Inside Burgundy

Jane Eyre has earned international recognition as one of Burgundy's most accomplished modern winemakers, becoming the first Australian recipient of the Négociant of the Year award from La Revue du Vin de France. Her wines are celebrated for their purity, restraint and faithful expression of terroir. Sourced from the renowned Premier Cru vineyard of Aux Vergelesses, this Savigny-lès-Beaune is a beautifully refined expression of one of the Côte de Beaune's finest Pinot Noir sites.

The 2024 vintage delivered fruit of exceptional balance and aromatic precision. The limestone rich soils of Aux Vergelesses bring structure, minerality and finesse, while Jane Eyre's minimalist approach in the winery preserves the vineyard's vibrant fruit and distinctive sense of place.

Bright ruby with youthful crimson highlights, the bouquet is perfumed with aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry layered with rose petals, subtle spice and delicate forest floor notes. As the wine opens, hints of crushed stone, fine cedar and dried herbs emerge, adding complexity and intrigue. The palate is silky and beautifully detailed, combining vibrant red berry fruit with fine tannins, lively acidity and a graceful mineral thread. Elegant, persistent and effortlessly balanced, the finish lingers with savoury spice and floral perfume.

An outstanding partner for roast duck, quail, grilled salmon, mushroom pithivier or a fine washed rind cheese. Equally rewarding in its youth or after careful cellaring, this Premier Cru is a superb example of Savigny-lès-Beaune at its finest.
