I’ve enjoyed many examples of this wine over the years, and this wine from a warm, dry, early vintage is the best I can remember. It’s an SSB of great finesse, a slinky model that glides across the catwalk, never putting a foot wrong. All the goodies are in perfect balance, from fresh citrus and cut grass to subdued tropical notes, all arranged on a long line of the finest acidity. Some of the wine spent a couple of months in new French oak, adding polish an extra dimension. Will improve for several years but I doubt that you can keep your hands off it. Magic wine. Back up the ute.

Pale straw, brilliantly bright with a slight lemon tinge. Aromatics reveal fresh nettle and ripe tropical fruits. Lightly toasted oak adds an extra dimension and depth. A focused wine that displays citrus, grassy and subtle lime zest flavours. Deftly selected and handled oak provides vigour and complexity. Refreshing tangy acidity brings life to the finish.
This wine is ready for immediate drinking however has the structure to evolve slowly over the next 7 years.
