From the pristine slopes along the Derwent River comes a Pinot Noir that defines Stefano Lubiana’s biodynamic philosophy and Tasmanian precision. Established in 1990 by Stefano and Monique Lubiana, the estate was one of the first in Australia to embrace certified biodynamic viticulture, focusing on soil health, biodiversity and vineyard balance. The Estate Pinot Noir draws from carefully selected blocks across the Derwent Valley property, planted on gravelly and sandstone influenced soils that naturally limit yields and enhance structure. The region’s long, cool growing season and sheltered river influence allow slow ripening, building aromatic complexity while preserving vibrant acidity.

Bright ruby with vivid crimson highlights, the aromatics are lifted and pure. Wild strawberry, red cherry and cranberry are layered with rose petal, subtle spice and a gentle savoury note of forest floor. A fine mineral edge runs through the bouquet, reflecting the vineyard’s stony soils and cool climate clarity.

On the palate it is medium bodied, elegant and beautifully structured. Red berry fruit forms the core, supported by silky tannins and fresh natural acidity that provide energy and length.
