Definitely a case of the right grape, right place. A beautifully expressive young grigio combining spring-like florals with a good depth of concentrated fruit. Pear, tart apple, green almonds, citrus and white florals roam the palate in league with brisk acidity. Runs smooth across the middle before finishing with the maker's signature lemongrass, green almond grip and tang. Delish! Drink 2025-2029.
93 points Jeni Port for Halliday Wine Companion (Special Value), November 2025
Dal Zotto has been growing Italian varieties in the King Valley since the 1980s, longer than almost anyone else in Australia. The Pinot Grigio is made in the northern Italian style, with no oak, cool fermentation in stainless steel, all about freshness and fruit purity.
Pale straw, the nose shows pear, green apple, lemon zest and white flowers. The palate is light and dry with crisp acidity, a fine mineral thread and a subtle almond note on the finish. Clean, honest and very easy to drink.
Grilled prawns, calamari, a simple antipasti spread or steamed dim sum. Serve well chilled.
