From the cool, river influenced vineyards on the western bank of the Tamar River comes a Riesling that highlights Tasmania’s precision and purity. Holm Oak Vineyards is a family owned estate run by Tim and Rebecca Duffy, with Rebecca leading the winemaking and shaping a reputation for vibrant, expressive cool climate wines. The Tamar Valley’s long daylight hours, cool nights and well drained alluvial soils create ideal conditions for Riesling, allowing slow ripening and the preservation of bracing natural acidity.

Pale straw with brilliant green flashes, the aromatics are lifted and finely detailed. Lime zest, lemon blossom and green apple rise from the glass, layered with white florals and a subtle mineral edge. There is a crystalline freshness that speaks clearly of its cool Tasmanian origins.

On the palate it is dry, linear and beautifully structured. Flavours of fresh lime, grapefruit and crisp apple glide across a spine of vibrant acidity, giving energy and length. A faint chalky texture adds grip and focus, while the finish is long, mouthwatering and mineral driven. It is Riesling defined by clarity and tension rather than weight.
