Fermented and matured in stainless, wood and amphora. A light, bright colour. Another aromatic gris from Lethbridge with its aromas of pear, honey and spice. It's ripe and flavourful on the palate, but the key here is just how bright the acidity is, keeping this delicious wine balanced and fresh. Drink 2026 to 2030.

96 points Philip Rich for Halliday Wine Companion, Special Value, March 2026

A more restrained bottling than the previous year, with aromas of white peaches, citrus peel, melon and nectarines. The palate is textural, with a mid-weighted mouthfeel and a slight phenolic grip from a degree of skin contact. A fleshy yet restrained pinot gris, with plenty of texture. Delicious. Drink now.

93 points James Suckling, August 2025

Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis established Lethbridge in 1996 in the Moorabool Valley, northwest of Geelong, on a site with viticultural roots stretching back to 1874. Biodynamic farming and minimal intervention in the winery have been central to the Lethbridge philosophy from the outset — the belief that the best wines express the unique character of the places they come from.

The 2025 Pinot Gris draws on fruit from two cool Victorian regions, Henty and Geelong. Henty, one of Victoria's coldest growing regions, contributes low-yielding, intensely flavoured fruit, while the Geelong sites on schist, clay and limestone add aromatic lift and volume to the blend. Made in a complex Alsatian style, small batches are wild fermented in new French oak with some portions given a touch of skin contact, then aged on fine lees in large old foudre before being bottled young and fresh.

The 2025 is intensely aromatic and immediately appealing with red apple skin, ripe pear, honey and spice on the nose and earthy citrus threading through. The palate is textural and fleshy with a slight phenolic grip from the skin contact, balanced by a bright, clean acidity that keeps everything focused and fresh. Tension and texture in equal measure.

Pour alongside roasted pork belly, a simple pâté and crusty bread, or dishes with earthy mushroom character.

Enjoy over the next couple of years.
