Slippery and silky gris with lifted aromatics and light spice
Excellent vintage conditions – warm days, cool nights – in the King Valley have produced a well-balanced, silky gris blessed with an almost effortless ease of delivery. Arrives in fresh, lifted scents of honeysuckle, melon, apple, pear and ginger root. Offers a smooth, rolling texture and bright acidity, with flavours running from apple and pear through to some spiced-up, tangy citrus. Earthy ginger and hints of musk stick to close. Drink to 2030.
94 points Special Value Jeni Port for Halliday Wine Companion, March 2026
A blend of two King Valley vineyards, the majority of the fruit was grown by Dal Zotto. The grapes were left on skins for a few hours for a gentle extraction of colour. The pressed juice was inoculated with a select yeast and cool fermented in stainless steel with the balance fermented in French oak barriques. The wine was then allowed extended time on lees with regular stirring for enhanced mouthfeel.
