Silky and vibrant with perfumed aromas of crunchy red fruit
Pouring a ruby red colour, the 2025 TarraWarra Estate Pinot greets with a delicate perfumed nose of red berries and pomegranate juice and light notes of charcuterie and dried flowers. The silky and vibrant palate continues the red berry-theme, with subtle spice and tanginess adding interest along fresh acidity.
Try with pan-seared veal medallions wrapped in prosciutto with a red wine jus or roasted salt-crust beetroot with goat's curd and radicchio.
More about this wine
From the excellent, dry and warm 2025 season, the grapes for this wine were handpicked over several weeks from the second week of February. The de-stemmed fruit fermented in open fermenters and was matured for eight months in a combination of French oak barriques and puncheons of which 15% were new.
About this producer
TarraWarra was established in 1979 when Marc and Eve Besen purchased their property along the Healesville-Yarra Glen Road. With the first Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines planted in 1983, the current 400-hectare estate encompasses 24 hectares of vines along with cattle, a kitchen garden, a restaurant and the TarraWarra Museum of Art. Sarah Fagan hold the keys to the winery, while Sam Parker’s team works hard to provide her the best fruit possible from the extensive estate vineyards.
