Few winemakers understand the Northern Rhône's white varieties quite like Yves Cuilleron. Since taking over his family's domaine in 1987, he has become one of the region's leading producers, with Condrieu holding a special place in his collection. La Petite Côte is a beautifully expressive Viognier, capturing the exotic fragrance and luxurious texture that make this tiny appellation so distinctive.
Grown on the steep granite slopes surrounding Condrieu, the 2025 benefits from the region's warm days and cooling influences from the Rhône Valley. Careful fermentation and maturation preserve Viognier's delicate aromatics while developing the rounded texture that gives the wine its appeal.
Pale golden straw with luminous highlights. Ripe apricot, white peach and nectarine mingle with orange blossom, honeysuckle and a hint of ginger. The palate is silky and beautifully textured, with succulent stone fruit, gentle spice and a refreshing citrus lift. A subtle mineral character carries through a long, fragrant finish.
Try it with Thai coconut and lemongrass prawns, Moroccan chicken with preserved lemon and apricots, or roasted pumpkin with whipped ricotta and pistachios. Its aromatic richness is particularly appealing alongside dishes with ginger, saffron or gentle spice.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2030. Particularly lovely for its youthful perfume, with a few years available for additional honeyed complexity.
